Tiddlywinks:)

So this is a baby shower cake I did this week to go along with a pop order for the same shower. The theme was based on the bedding "Tiddlywinks" from Target, the lady bug set. I used light pastels because the bedding was the same colors. All the reviews on the cake were good, but the hit was the pops, of course. If you haven't tried one out, I wouldn't wait to long. Something Different***

So talk about a little bite of heaven. These are the infamous cake pops! They have been a big hit for me recently for baby showers. Sometimes, and this is going to shock you and you are going to ask yourself, "How can that be"? , but sometimes people don't like alot of cake! I know, I know shocking right, but every now and then I do run across those people. Well this is a solution, it is a golf ball sized ball of cake on a stick. Tasty doesn't do them justice, and for cake lovers like me this is just the "icing on the cake" so to speak. If you would like a batch for your event, and your local to Mobile or Baldwin County AL, email me and I will be glad to make some for your special day.

I LOVE this Monkey

Well this is the first "Big" cake I attempted. It was for my cousins baby shower. The monkey and frog are made of MM fondant as well as the initials and they are on 3 MM fondant baby blocks which are decorated with buttercream.

Welcome to Double Layer Designs! Please look around and I hope you like what you see. I hope to just use this as a forum to showcase some of my work. (please keep in mind I am new at this and certainly not a professional). I have devolped a passion for decorating cakes, cupcakes, cake pops, and just about anything else you can put icing on.
