So this was a very specially requested birthday cake for my cousins daughter Caroline. When her mother asked her what she wanted on her cake, her reply was point blank, " a girl swinging from a tree". So with that challenge came this cake. Complete with an exact replica acurate down to collar and coat color of her own dog, Hunny Bucks.I think the dog amazed her more than herself swinging from a tree on a vine, which is very hard to see in this picture. The figures and the tree are made of fondant glued together with a little royal icing. After a long day of playing outside on the water slide and running around the yard, all the kids were definately ready for some cake and ice cream, and considering the humidity of mid July in Alabama this cake held up remarkably well all day long.
